"Robt. Key for unseemly behavior toward Goody Newell to sit in stocks at Lynn one hour with her, and one hour at Cambridge before Lecture on 4th day of next month."
I can only think of two possible "Goody Newells" of Lynn in 1638. Either Mary Woodland wife of Thomas Newhall c1594-1674 of Lynn or Mary White, second wife of Anthony Newhall c1600-1656 of Lynn. Mary Woodland was likely too old to be having an affair with Robert Keyes so it was more likely Mary White, the second wife of Anthony Newhall. She could have been roughly the same age as Robert Keyes and Anthony Newhall had no children with her after this date. No death date is found for her and she is not named in Anthony's will.
