    Copy of affadavit re Administration of estate of Thomas Willis ..."Intestate died on or about the 27th day of January 1847".... The eighth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty seven.... On which day administration of all and singular the Goods, Chattels and Credits which were of Thomas Willis late of Brading in the Isle of Wight in the County of Southampton and Diocese of Winchester, Blacksmith, deceased was granted and committed to Elizabeth Willis the Widow and Relict of the said deceased and she made Oath that she would well and truly administer Ye and that the Goods, Chattels and and Credits of the said Thomas Willis deceased did not at the time of his death amouint in value to th;e sum of Two Hundred Pounds as she verily believed.  ... Before me, ...Spencer Phillips...Surrogate.


Copy of probate papers , dated 27 Jan 1847 for Thomas Willis, deceased "late of Brading" - granting administration of estate to his widow, Elizabeth Willis " of Yarbridge in the parish of Brading". Paper states "Know all Men by those Presents that We Elizabeth Willis of Yarbridge in the Parish of Brading in the Isle of Wight Widow Matthew Wickens of Brading in the said Isle Butcher and Jeremiah Read of Ryde are held and firmly bound unto Charles Richard by Divine Providence Lord Bishop of Winchester in the sum of Four Hundred Pounds"
