    Thomas [Washburn] married (1) before 29 October 1684 Deliverance Packard, baptized in Hingham on 11 July 1652, died in Bridgewater before 24 July 1711 and presumably before 28 July 1708 [date of Thomas' second marriage] [VR Bridgewater 2:392] ; daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Packard. Although no record has been found of this marriage, the will of "Samuell Packer Seni[or]", dated on 29 October 1684, names his daughter "Deliverance Washburn The wife of Thomas Washburn." [MD 15:254-6; Plymouth Col. PR 4:2:96.]
