  • Page 360.--24th August, 1764. George Mathews' bond (with John Paxton), as guardian (appointed) to Thomas Rennix, orphan of Robt. Rennix.
  • Page 523.--29th July, 1767. William Howard, of Albemarle County, to Sampson and George Mathews, £45, lot 9 in Staunton; also 13 acres of woodland at south corner of one of Thomas Fulton's lots, numbered 6, conveyed by Thomas to William, and to Thomas by Alex. Wright, 16th May, 1760. Teste: Archer Mathews, Thomas Smith, Thomas Rennick, John Ridpath.
