- Page 360.--24th August, 1764. George Mathews' bond (with John Paxton), as guardian (appointed) to Thomas Rennix, orphan of Robt. Rennix.
- Page 523.--29th July, 1767. William Howard, of Albemarle County, to Sampson and George Mathews, £45, lot 9 in Staunton; also 13 acres of woodland at south corner of one of Thomas Fulton's lots, numbered 6, conveyed by Thomas to William, and to Thomas by Alex. Wright, 16th May, 1760. Teste: Archer Mathews, Thomas Smith, Thomas Rennick, John Ridpath.
- Page 113.--2d June, 1767. James Hill to S. and G. Mathews, merchants, £62.19.5-1/2, mortgage of horses, cows and one silver watch, maker's name, Charlson Landon, No. 263; household goods, coffey pot, one horse head, 1 brick iron, 200 lbs. old copper, 100 lbs. old pewter, 60 lbs. lead.
