Thomas Kilbourn, bp. Wood Ditton 30 Novembe 1609; possibly the "Thomas Kilborne," aged 24, and "Elizabeth his wife," aged 20, who were enrolled at Ipswich on 30 April 1634 as passengers for New England on the Elizabeth [Hotten 280]; otherwise no further record.
'Extracts from the Parish Register of Wood Ditton, Co. Cambridge: ... "1609.--Thomas Kilborne, the sonne of Thomas Kylborne and Frances, his wife, was baptized the xxxth daye of November.'
'In April, 1634, he embarked in the ship "Elizabeth," from Ipswich, in the west of England, for New England, with his wife Elizabeth. I find no record of him or his decendents in this country.'
This article provides evidence and an argument for believing that Elizabeth Kilbourn was the wife of Hugh Gunnison. It also suggests that the 20-year-old Elizabeth Kilbourne who emigrated from England in 1634, identified as the wife of Thomas Kilbourne (emigrating on the same ship), may in fact have been his sister Elizabeth instead.
