    "Ensign Thomas2 Harrison (Richard1), ancestor of the Connecticut Harrisons, born in England about 1630, died at Branford towards the end of 1704. … He took the oath of allegiance at New Haven 4 Apr. 1654, but settled at Branford. He was ensign in King Philip's War, and was elected deputy to the General Court 10 May 1677. In a land record dated 14 Nov. 1688 he calls himself 58 years of age."
