Rockingham County, VA Executors Bond: Know all men by these presents, that we Thomas Gordon, John Gordon are held firmly bound to Benjamin Harrison, William Herring, John Ewin, John Price, Ezekiel Harrison Gent. Justices of the court of Rockingham county, now fitting in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars. To the payment whereof well and truly to be made to the said Justices, and their sucessors, we bind ourselves, and each of us, our and each of our heirs, executors, and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our feals, the 20[th] day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety [6] and in the 21st year of the Commonwealth.

The condition of this obligation is such. That if the above bound Thomas Gordon Executor of the last Will and Testament of Thomas Gordon deceased, do make or cause to be made, a true and perfect inventory of all and finagular the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased, which or shall come to the hands, possession or knowledge of the said Thomas Gordon of into the hands and possession of any other person or persons for _____ and the same so made, do exhibit unto the county court of Rockingham at such time as he shall be thereunto required by the said court; and the same goods, chattels and credits, and all other the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased, which at any time after shall come to the hands, possession or knowledge of the said Thomas Gordon __or into the hands and possession of any other person or persons for him _do well and truly, administer according to law: And further to make a true and just account of his actings and doings therein, when thereto required by the said court; and also shall well and truly pay and deliver all the legacies contained and specified in the said testament, as far as the said goods, chattels and credits, will thereunto extent, and the law shall charge: then this obligation to be void and of none effect, or else to remain in full force and virtue.
