The marriage of Thomas and Catherine Ferree as recorded June 30, 1715 at the Emmanuel Church, New Castle, Delaware states their names as Thomas Falconer and Catharina Fara. I believe "Fara" is a corruption of Ferree. Other spellings seen in genealogies of Faulkner include: Falkner, Falconer. Family Tree Maker CD #209 - Pennsylvania Wills, 1682-1834 Falkner,(sic) Thomas.
