In the 1830 census, Alexander Dugger had an apparent son born ca 1810/1815 residing with him. This child was gone from Alexander's household by 1840, so had married, died, or just moved out by then.

Frances Dugger Rowan's book "The Dugger Family" lists a Thomas Dugger born 31 Aug 1813 as a child of Alexander. I don't know what proof there is of Thomas being this child, but the age fits and his date of marriage is consistent with when this child left home. I don't have her book, so I don't know what, if any, proof she cited for Thomas being Alexander's son.

Thomas Dugger married Nancy Hossler (or Hassler) on 12 Dec 1833 in Roane Co, TN. His birth date, and his marriage date are consistent with this unknown son of Alexander. She (Rowan) further states that Thomas Dugger moved to Clay Co, KS. So far,

They were in Murray Co., GA for the 1840 census.
