    [Note:Savage is totally confused about the two Thomas Doggetts, as he creates two entries out of one person (Thomas, Concord and Thomas, Marshfield or Duxbury both describe one person, who is not the man of this page), erroneously calling one "perhaps s. of the first John" even though he lived in Marshfield and John had removed "to the Vineyard", and then has no entry describing the Thomas of Edgartown who actually was the son of the first John and who m. Hannah Mayhew.]
