Guilford 8 Feb. 1697/8 [Jacobus, "Guilford Vital Records, The American Genealogist, 15:188], apparently unmarried [Smith, "Abraham Cruttenden", Register 52:466], leaving a will dated 26 Jan. 1697/8, proved 13 June 1698 [New Haven Probate 2:211; file 3102 (will); New Haven County Court Minutes, 1:262 (probate)], mentioning kinsman Abraham Crittenden "with whom I now dwell" to be executor; sisters Elizabeth Graves and Hannah Hiland; kinsman Thomas Crittenden; children of brothers Abraham and Isaac; children of sisters Hartlet [sic], Graves, and Herland [sic]. The inventory of his estate, dated 11 June [1698], lists by name his two sisters and all his living nephews and nieces.
