Overview

Thomas Coyne was born in/near Athlone, County Meath. Ireland about 1830. He was the son of
Father: Patrick Coyne b: EST 1790 in Ireland
Mother: Catherine Browne b: ABT 1791 in Ireland
Athlone Castle on River Shannon, Ireland

About 1848 he and his presumed brother John Coyne migrated to the New World, settling in Brooklyn, Kings County, NY where they worked as painters. He married Ann Wilson about 1850. Their children included:

Catherine (Kate) E. Coyne b: 27 JAN 1852 in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York
John Francis Coyne b: 25 NOV 1855 in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York
Thomas Edward Coyne b: 19 FEB 1858 in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York

Thomas died in 1889, and was buried in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn, Kings County, New York.

FTDNA identifies this kit owner as having a YDNA signature consistent with being descended fom Niall of the Nine Hostages
