Susanna probably came to New England with her uncle Timothy Hatherly.

"Susanna Brooks, wife of William Brooks of Scituate" and her children received Ð12 and a heifer in the will of Timothy Hatherly of Scituate dated 12 December 1664; he added "I acquitt her of her first husband's debt to mee".

On 18 February 1666/1667 William Brookes and Susannah wife of the said William of Scituate gave a receipt to Joseph Tilden, administrator of the estate of Mr. Timothy Hatherly, for their share of Hatherly's estate.

On 6 March 1682/1683 she was mentioned as wife Susanna in the will of William Brooks of Scituate.
