"He lived at first with his wife's grandparents on the Warren place, but later bought the place at Wight's Corner and lived there until his latter days when he sold and went to Minot and built a house on his second wife's old place. He was the first person in these parts to ship cattle to Brighton market. He shipped a carload a week for a long time and accumulated a good property.
