This Indenture made this 11th day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and one Between William Hall, Robert Patterson, William Clay and William Hankins commissioners appointed by law & of the County of Grainger and State of Tennessee of the one part and Stephen Willis Senter of the County of Grainger and State of Tennessee of the other part thereforth, that the said William Hall, Robert Patterson, William Clay and William Hankins for and in consideration of the sum of twenty four Dollars twenty five cents to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath paid by these presents doth Grant Bargain sell Alian infeoff and confirm unto the said Stephen Willis Senter his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcal of land containing one quarter of an acre and half quarter of an acre lying and being in the County of Grainger and State of Tennessee and in the Town of Rutledge, being lot number fifteen in the plan of said Town.
