Swannanoa Ave. died Sunday, August 13, 1995, at Country Forest

Manor in Siler City.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Hill Christian Church, where he was a member, with Rev. Reginald Dawkins, Rev. Howard Spray and Rev. Ken Overman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Isley was a native of Alamance County, a retired employee from Kellwood Company in Liberty and an Army veteran of World War II, having served in Iceland, England, France, Belgium and Germany. He was in the Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe campaigns with five bronze stars awarded. He was a member of the American Legion and the V.F.W.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Nina A. Isley and a brother, Jesse (Doodle) Fogleman.

Surviving are daughter, Mrs. Brenda I. Shelton of Cary; son, Spurgeon (Sonny) Isley Jr. of Liberty; sisters, Mrs. Betty Lowe of Staley and Mrs. Elizabeth (Lib) Butler of Liberty; brothers, Cecil Fogleman and Bill Fogleman both of Liberty; grandchildren, Andy Shelton and Amy Shelton both of Cary, Jessica I. Brown of San Diego, Ca. and Jeremy Shane Isley of Liberty.

The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. tonight at the Loflin Funeral Home in Liberty.
