I am looking for info on Solomon Smith's family, especially his parents or siblings. He was born 1786 in Maryland, don't know when he came to Augusta Co., but he married Catherine Hartsook Jan. 4, 1812. It's likely his father was living in Augusta Co. at that time. Solomon left Augusta Co. about 1818 moving to Gallia Co. Ohio. In the 1840 census a man 80-90 years of age is living with Solomon, think this has to be his father which puts his birthdate 1750-1760.
