in 1635, before leaving for New England, Simon Eire, gentleman, and Dorothy his wife sold to Timothy Oldmanes alias Pricke and his wife Mary land in Bury St. Edmonds, although they did not baptized their children there. They sailed on the Increase later that year. Simon became a freeman in Watertown 17 Apr 1637 and served as a selectman there several times. By 1644, he had eleven parcels in the Watertown Inventory of Grants. References
