    "4 Simeon (Booth), … weaver, in Philip's War fled to Salem. He sold his home farm in Saco to Major Pendleton 8 Oct. 1675. … He was recd. into Salem Ch. 10 Mar. 1679, freeman 19 May 1680. 'Of Massachusetts' in 1682, by will of wife's f., and prob. in 1684, he soon moved to Enfield, Conn.; there constab. and selectm. Eliz. a. 1668; Mary, a. 1670; all b. bef. he went thither. He was, perhaps, s. of the preced. had sec. w. m. 8 Sept. 1693, wid. Elizabeth Elmore, had Sarah, 11 Dec. 1695; and Phebe, 1697; and d. at Hartford 1703. Dr. Pease, in Hinman, 168, tells us, that William m. 30 Aug. 1693, Hannah, d. of John Burroughs, had Caleb, b. 1695; and Joshua, 1697; d. 1753, aged 89; that Zechariah, m. 15 July 1691, Mary Warriner, and a 2d w. 26 May 1696, Mary Harmon; had two s. John, b. 1697, and Joseph; and d. 28 May 1741.

    Booth appears to have lived in Saco, Salem, Enfield and Hartford, but never in Fairfield.

    Booth, Symon, Hartford. Died 28 February, 1702-3. Invt. £57-04-00. Taken 9 March, 1702-3, by Joseph Wadsworth and Gerrard Spencer:

    Whereas, wee whose names are underwritten were at Symon Booth's house to visit him in his last sickness, 23 February, 1702-3, he the said Booth desired us to bear witness how his will and pleasure was concerning the dispose of his estate after his decease, which was as followeth: That his wearing clothes should be divided between his two sonns, William and Zachariah Booth, and gave Zachariah Booth's sonn Robert his loom, and gave 30s in money to his daughter Pheebe. And desired his wife, if she see cause, to give his three daughters, Bridgett Allyn, Elizabeth Peese and Mary Spencer, six or tenn or twenty shillings to each of them, if shee was willing, in such things she could best spare; and when his debts were paid, he gave the remainder of his estate to his wife and child Sarah that he had by her. As witness our hands, 2 March, 1702-3.
