    This Indenture witnesseth, That W. L. Grimes and Harriet Grimes his wife, of Fountain County in the State of Indiana, Convey and Warrant to Silas White of Fountain County, in the State of Indiana, for the Sum of One Hundred & fifty Dollars, the following Real Estate in Fountain County, in the State of Indiana; to wit:
    A Lot of ground lying one hundred feet N. of the Town Plat of Jacksonville & E. of the Plank Road, Known as the property formerly owned by H. D. McLain and bounded as follows. Viz: Commencing at a Stake one Hundred feet North of the Town Plat of Jacksonville, E. of the Plank Road, thence N. with said Road Eighty-two & a half feet to a stake, thence East one hundred and thirty-two and a half feet to a stake,
    Thence west one Hundred thirty-two and a half feet to the place of beginning containing one-fourth of an acre -- the same being a part of the W ½ of the SW qr of Sec 19 T18N of R6W.
    Also a Lot of ground commencing at the Northwest corner of the Jacob Hess Lot, thence running East with said Lot to the corner, thence N to Wm Wineland’s Lot formerly Known as H. D. McLain, thence South to the place of beginning containing one-eighth of an acre more or less.

    In witness whereof, the said W. L. Grimes and Harriet Grimes his wife, has hereunto set their hands and seals this 21st day of April 1869. {$.50 cents}
