Sheryl Elizabeth Kenia, 25, of South Brunswick died Thursday, May 19, 2005, at Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. Sheryl lost her battle with cancer, but is an inspiration to all who struggle with the disease.

Born in Somerville, she resided in the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick. She graduated from South Brunswick Township High School and was involved in many activities throughout high school. She was a customer service representative for Alphagraphics in Dayton, whose management and employees gave her great emotional and financial support throughout her illness.

Sheryl was a loving companion, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to all those she touched. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Victor and Elsie Mailinowski. She is survived by her parents, Sharon I. Kenia of Monmouth Junction and Thomas H. Kenia Sr. of Greentown, Pa.; her fiance, Adam Swiecicki of Monmouth Junction; a brother, Thomas H. Kenia Jr., and his fiancee, Shannon Ziemba, of Gilbert, Ariz.; a sister, Christina Dzingleski and her husband, David, of Monroe; her grandparents, Stanley and Fran Kenia of Clarks Summit, Pa., and John and Wahneta Greiger of Bridgewater; and a niece, Haley Dzingleski, and a nephew, J.T. Dzingleski.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 23, at 9:15 a.m. from M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. Augustine of Canterbury R.C. Church, Kendall Park. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Visitation will be 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
