Notes

Elizabeth's father, Henry Netherton, Gent., was married by 1708 to Sarah Tucker, sole daughter and heiress of [Mr] John Tucker of Cople Parish, Westmoreland County. Before that time he appears to have been more active in Maryland [at least as late as 1704], but afterwards he settled in Cople Parish [where he died intestate between 30 Jul. and 28 Nov. 1716] and was given the preferment of Surveyor of Westmoreland County.

The wife of Henry Netherton (d. 1716) had an aunt, also named Sarah Tucker, whose marriage with William Fitzhugh was arranged in 1674.
