Facts and Events
Sarah Rubbins' origins have yet to be established. Her first confirmed sighting is on 17th June 1697 when she was married at Kirkby la Thorpe in Lincolnshire to a labourer named William Allen. At the time of their marriage she was described as 'late of Asgarby'. Between 1699 and 1706 Sarah and William had five children baptised at Kirkby la Thorpe, although the youngest two both died young. No burial record has been found for Sarah. However, it appears she died between Jeremiah's baptism in January 1705/6 and his burial in February 1706/7, when she was described as 'late wife' of William. References
