Facts and Events
Name Sarah Odding
Gender Female
Birth[1][2] Bef 21 Oct 1612 Possibly Braintree, Braintree, Essex, England
Marriage Abt 1633 Portsmouth, Newport, Rhode Island, United Statesto Philip Sherman
Death[2] aft 31 Jul 1681

Sarah had come to Massachusetts with her remarried mother and her stepfather, John Porter.

Because of of a marriage of John Porterre and Margaret in Madron, Cornwall, England, it has long been assumed this was where Sarah came from, and various dates have been filled in for Sarah that bear a striking similarity to the vital statistics of her husband. This scenario has been largely refuted in Source:TAG, p. 73:176. See the Talk page for a discussion.
