The overland journey of nearly a thousand miles was made with two covered wagons, one of which carried his family, the other their household goods. . . . In 1844 he removed to Iowa county, Wis. .. . Their family consisted of ten children, viz., Sarah Ann, who married Herman Liscum, a farmer and teacher of Plattsille, Grant County, Wis., where she died on the 28th of November, 1863; . . . .
