Facts and Events
Sarah Cox was born in 1867 in the parish of St Mellion in Cornwall, the fifth of six children of a gamekeeper named John Cox and his wife Sarah Fox. Some time between Sarah's birth in 1867 and her sister Elizabeth's birth in 1869, the family left St Mellion, moving to the parish of St Ewe, where they lived at a hamlet called Pengrugla, adjoining the Heligan estate, which is presumably where John worked.
Sarah has yet to be researched after the 1881 census, when she was still living at Pengrugla with her parents and siblings.
