From research of Elizabeth Jones, "Information sent from progeny of William (No middle initial indicated) Coker, Mrs. Frances Maddox (Dec'd now) Marathon TX 79845 and May Anna Riggan, Rt 2 Box 46, Aberdeen, MS 39730 in 1987 gave the following information regarding their William: Born 1786 NC; married Leanna Braziel; had daughter, Sarah C. Coker; lived at some time in Bibb County, AL; went to MS. Leanna Coker had been born in SC 1794. The daughter, Sarah C. Coker was born 10 September 1824. Mrs. Maddox got her information from a family Bible and the Monroe, MS census of 1850."
