She was named as "Sara my wife" in the will of William Meriam.[1].

That her maiden name was Burges and that she was daughter of Jacob Burgess is supported by Jacob's will which makes a bequest to his son-in-law William Merriam.[2]

Her birth date is an estimate since parish registers started 1560 but she does not appear in its records after that date so presumably was born before then.

This estimate is problematic, however, if her son Robert was really born about 1610 or later; that would make her age 50 at least at his birth. So either she was born later, or he was born earlier.
