Sarah Boyle is suspected as being one of the five children of Charles Boyle that were abducted by Shawnee Indians at or near their home at Jackson River in September 1756, as listed in Chalkley's, Vol. 2:
- 5 children of Chas. Boyl, Jackson's River, prisoners.
Sarah was included in the list of rescued "English Prisoners among the Shawanas" (November 1764) in "A List of the Prisoners at the Lower Shawana Town", from Col. Henry Boquet:
