In 1691 Sgt. Samuel was the constable of Wethersfield and was a selectman of the town in 1704. The inventory of his estate totaled £1845-12-10 was taken on ___ by ___. The will of Sgt. Samuel3 Wright dated ____ says, in part:

"I give to Samuel Wright the eldest son of my son Samuel Wright, lately deceased, the northeast part of my home lott, and to Moses Wright the youngest son of my son Samuel the other part of my house lott"; he also made bequests of property to sons Ebenezer, Thomas, Timothy and Stephen; to daughters Mary Stanley, Abigail Miller; Mabel Belding and Sarah Flower; to son Craft Wright's children Cally and Martha; and to his wife Abigail.

Conspicuously missing in the will is the mention of son Josiah, which is important.
