From Savage's Genealogical Dictionary SAMUEL, Stonington, younger ch[ild]. of the first Thomas, m[arried]. 15 June 1680, Borrodel, d[aughter]. of Capt[ain]. George Denison, had Samuel, b[orn]. 16 June 1683; Daniel. 4 Nov. 1685; and Ann, 2 July 1688. From It's About Time Practically every able-bodied man in the town of Stonington participated in the various campaigns during King Philip's War. A list prepared by a committee for purpose of securing land grants for war services includes the names: Capt. Geo Denison and his sons, George Jr., William, and John; Capt. John Stanton and his brothers, Samuel, Daniel, and Joseph; Lieut. Thomas Miner and his sons Ephraim, Joseph, Manasseh, and Samuel; Capt. John Gallup; Capt. Samuel Mason; Rev.
