Samuel Sprague, s/o William Sprague and Millicent Eames, bp. Hingham 24 May 1640, m. by 1666 [birth of eldest child] Sarah Chillingworth ["so stated in many secondary sources, but no evidence provided"]
[Note: his wife's name was Sarah. Her identity as Sarah Chillingworth is based on a 1665 suit of Justus Eames (who m. Mehitable Chillingworth) against John Foster (who m. Mary Chillingworth) and Samuel Sprague and wife Sarah over lands of Thomas Chillingworth, from which one can reasonably, albeit circumstantially, infer that those were the three surviving daughters of Thomas Chillingworth, Elizabeth having died a month before the suit (PCR 7:124, wife mentions 4 daughters in probate documents, PCR 3:22)).]
