    Here lies buried the body of Lieut. Samuel Scamons who died March ye 8th 1750 in the 45 year of his age.
    [sic. The will being written in 1758 makes it pretty clear he did not die in 1750, so if we assume the gravestone was hard to read and the year was really 1758 (quite feasible), then the age at death would translate to a birth about 1713.]
