  4. Source:Allred, Marilyn. Town of Warwick, Franklin County, Massachusetts, Genealogical Records 1739-1900, Births, Marriages,, really confuses the various Samuel Moores of Warwick.
For this Samuel, s/o Jonathan, on p. 191, she correctly gives him the marriage to Elizabeth Leonard, and then on p. 193 gives it to Samuel Moore Jr. (see below, by whom she appears to mean the son of the uncle Samuel even though she shows him as dying as a child?!?) Actually in the marriage record to Elizabeth Leonard, the groom is called Samuel Moore 2'd because he is younger than his uncle Samuel, but not the son of uncle Samuel, so not called Jr.
Then on p. 193, Samuel is given a second marriage to Lydia Munn in 1816, but that marriage belonged to a cousin named Samuel Moore, s/o of Mark Moore, as can be seen by the census records. Allred appears to have made this error because that marriage record also says Samuel Moore 2'd, but 16 years later, a different Samuel Moore was considered Samuel Moore 2'd (it appears Samuel, s/o Jonathan, was living in Windham, VT, in 1820, while "Samuel Moor" of Warwick was 45 and over and "Samuel Moor 2d" of Warwick was 16-25, neither of which would appear to fit this Samuel).
Finally, on p. 193, this Samuel, s/o Jonathan, is suggested as possibly the man who married 1803 Eunice Goddard. Clearly this is incorrect, but shows how confused Allred was. This Samuel was already married to Elizabeth Leonard as Allred correctly showed on p. 191 before contradicting herself in multiple ways on p. 193. It was actually the uncle who married Eunice Goddard as his second wife.
