Will of "Samuell Mayo of the Town of Harwich in the County of Barnstable", dated 9 Apr 1734, proved 15 Nov 1738, mentions "my two sons Sam'l Mayo and Jonathan Mayo", "my Daughters namely my Daughter Rebecca Cole wife to Stephen Cole and my Daughter Mary Smith wife to Ralph Smith and the Heirs of my Daughter Hannah Hopkins Deceased and the Heirs of my Daughter Sarah Higgins Deceased" [elsewhere identified as wife to James Higgins], [elsewhere mentions] "my Daughter Mercy Cole wife to John Cole", and "my Grandson Thomas Mayo".
