A well-regarded professional musician, Sam Lamberson was apparently on the Chautauqua Circuit with the Ernest Gamble Concert Company in the early part of the 20th Century. He also played often in his hometown of Coshocton, OH, and later lived in New York City teaching piano. Sam died in New York City.

Sam studied music in Germany in 1937, and also apparently at some time prior to 1908. He studied during the earlier period under Barth and Mme. Stepanoff in Belin. Also he studied under Heinrich Gebahrd of Boston.
