It was ordered that the only child should have £100 when of age and that the widow should enjoy the rest of the estate, but, if she married, should provide security for the child's portion. The inventory listed no land but extensive standing crops and the contents of a large house (it would seem that he lived and farmed on his father's land), including many articles of luxury, books, silver, arms and an extensive wardrobe, the total being £356.
