Samuel Huntington (October 4, 1765 – June 8, 1817) was an American jurist who was the third governor of Ohio from 1808 to 1810.

Samuel's Ohio biography says he was the "nephew and adopted son" of Samuel Huntington, governor of Connecticut and a signer of the Declaration of Independence. [2] However, this Samuel's father did not die until 1794, when the younger Samuel was 29 and not in need of adopting. It may be that the younger Samuel went to live with his uncle after his mother died in 1771.
