    Samuel Hooker (Samuel2 Thomas1), son of Rev. Samuel and Mary (Willet) Hooker of Farmington, Conn., born May 29, 1661, at Plymouth, Mass.; married June 28, 1687 Mehitabel Hamlin, daughter of Capt. Giles and Esther (Crow) Hamlin of Middletown, Conn., born Nov. 17, 1664, at Middletown, Conn. Her father, Capt. Hamlin, was a noted and wealthy sea captain and merchant of Middletown, and her mother was a daughter of John Crow, merchant of Hartford Conn. Mr. Hooker had a fine residence, next south of the old burial ground at Farmington, the place later known a the Mix house. He was engaged in mercantile business in Hartford. He died at Hartford, Conn., 1730. She died at Hartford, Conn., 1749.
