Samuel2 Heaton, bp. at Alford 8 May 1631. Samuel received a bequest in the will of his uncle James Heaton in Dec. 1631, Samuel d. evidently before 1660, when his brother Jabez was treated as the eldest son in their father's probate. A "Samuel Eaton" witnessed a release by Thomas Pell on 25 Aug. 1649. Given the fact that Samuel's first stepfather was Joseph Pell and that there were no other Eaton / Heaton families in Boston at the time, it is possible that the witness was Nathaniel Heaton's eldest son. He does not appear in the records again, however. It is possible that this Samuel m. Mary _____, who in turn m. at Boston, 8 May 1653, John Gilbert and lived next door to Nathaniel Heaton's heirs No children.
