    In 1676 the wife of Samuel Davis was presented at court for wearing a silk hood in a flaunting manner and fined for the offense. He was one of a mining company in 1680 and sold his shares to Medad Pomeroy in 1681. He contributed to the support of Harvard College in 1672-3.

    His estate was ordered divided 31 March 1691. To the widow "Mary" (sic) Davis: to the eldest son; to the second son; to the three daughters. The sons were to have the lands at Northfield but the eldest son was to have two-thirds and the youngest one-third. In 1702, the estate paid to "Hannah" Pritchard on account of her first husband Davis.
