BIOGRAPHY
From "The Dana Family in America" page 57[2]
He was a blacksmith and rem. from Cambridge to Pomfret in 1722, to the part which is now Abington; signed the townsmen's protest in 1723; town officer, 1724; was one of the proprietors of the town library, and a public-spirited citizen. He left a will which is now in the State Library at Hartford, and his estate was inventoried at oe705, 2 s. 2 d. Samuel Dana, blacksmith, and Jacob Dana, cooper, both late of Cambridge and now of Pomfret for oe 40 sell Isaac Dana of Worcester, housewright, land in Cambridge which belonged "to our honoured father Jacob Dana and to our honoured uncles Benjamin and Daniel Dana, " May 9, 1722.
