  4. ↑ His probate is Suffolk case 3165, which was not opened until 1709, apparently waiting for son Ephraim to reach majority. Ephraim was appointed administrator 29 Mar 1709 (Vol. 7 (new series), p. 74-5), Samuel's widow, now Mercy Fisher, declining due to bad weather. His estate (reserving for the widow her thirds while she lives) is settled on his only son Ephraim in 1720 (Vol. 22, p. 85) who is to pay his sisters Mary Pond and Abiall Metcalfe.
