    ORIGIN: Unknown
    MIGRATION: 1630
    FIRST RESIDENCE: Salem
OCCUPATION: Carpenter. Hired with William Allen to build an ammunition house for the town of Salem, 28 August 1637 [STR 1:57]. Hired with Nathaniel Pickman to build stocks and whipping post, 23 April 1657 [STR 1:199]. Archer also earned money as marshal of the Salem Quarterly Court.
BIRTH: About 1608, based on deposition of 1660 which gave his age as 52 [ELR 1:89], and on deposition of 1666, which gave his age as 58 [EQC 3:420]. (A deposition of 1665, which gave his age as "about fifty years" [EQC 3:276], is rejected, because the age is given as a round number, and would make him only fifteen at the date he applied for freemanship, and about sixteen at marriage.)
DEATH: Salem before 26 November 1667 (administration granted on estate).
