A check of baptisms for Ruth Haigh found no entries in the locality of Holme in West Yorkshire, nor were there any burials of children of that name before the 1841 census when she was not present with the family.

However, in the England & Wales. Non-Conformist and Non-Parochial Registers, 1567-1970 (provided by The National Archives (United Kingdom); Kew, Surrey, England; General Register Office as Class Number: Rg 4; Piece Number: 3929 (Almondbury Methodist New Connexion, page 10) was the following list of baptisms of the children of Joseph Haigh, clothier, of the parish of Berry Brow, Almondbury:

• Ann b 3 Oct 1828 bapt 4 Jun 1837
• Ruth b 15 ? 1830 bapt 4 Jun 1837
• Mary b 29 Mar 1833 bapt 4 Jun 1837
• William b 12 May 1835 bapt 4 Jun 1837
• Emma b 20 Apr 1837 bapt 4 Jun 1837

all bapt by John Littelwood [sic]

All these children were in the original list of those born to Joseph Haigh and Dinah Beardsell and have now been deleted from that family. Ruth Haigh, Mary Haigh, William Haigh, and Emma Haigh remain in WeRelate so that they can be linked should Joseph Haigh of Berry Brow find his way into the database.
