  4. There apparently is no birth record for Ruth. Using the list of children of John and Elizabeth Crow found in Source:Barbour, Lucius Barnes. Families of Early Hartford, Connecticut, p. 203, there is a child born in 1656, Daniel, by age at death, and that would make Ruth very young to marry in 1671. Other births are listed 1649, and 1652, though the 1652 may be an estimate. So, combined with her marriage, her birth is probably 1650, remote possibility of about 1654, though that is unlikely and would be suspect without evidence, as the typical practice (encouraged by the church) was that women would not marry until reaching legal age, 18. Her birth would be in Hartford, where her parents lived from 1640's or earlier until they moved to Hadley in 1659.
