Dalton, I'm sorry, I did make it sound like Ruby Nix was a sister, What I ment is tha Ruby Nix, from what I could find is married to Dona's brother Homer Johnson, My grandmother is Sophie Cleo Johnson, Homer and Dona are her brother and sister, I found that Homer was married to a Ruby Nix. I was on usgenweb looking for them, looking at births around the same time that my father was born to see if I could find my grandmothers siblings and if they had children in and around the same time, my grandmother was born in nueces co tx also. I found Dona and Homer and that Homer was married to a Ruby Nix, put her name in the rootsweb and your site came up, I think that your Ruby Nix is my great aunt, and married to my grandmothers brother. The 1910 Travis co, tx census has Homer on it , and the 1920 nuecus co tx has him on it too. My next step is to find a 1930 census with them on it, but in the usgenwebI found Homer and Ruby and it has them and the childs name and it shows that they had a son, Douglas Ray Johnson born 10-17-1926 in nueces co tx and a daughter Carolyn Joan Johnson 4-7-1930. Nueces is the last place that I find them all, so I figure that is where some of them settled. Homers father if I am right is William Johnson and his mothers name is Neacie, they are both from Georgia, don't know her middle name. Ruby is my fathers aunt and thier children are my fathers cousins. If there is any way you can verify that Ruby's husband's father is the same William Johnson then they are who I think they are, I talked to my great cousin Bettie Lou who is also from nueces co tx, and she said that Douglas and Carolyn where my fathers cousins, my father remembers an aunt Ruby, but not who her husband was, Rubys husband Homer had 4 older brothers, Alfred, Thomas, Henry, and Thad or Thaddeus. oh and Roscoe. His sisters where Dona, Cleo, or Sohpie Cleo, Bayce Essie and Gladys, I wanted to know because Ruby Nix, if I am right is my great aunt. I am haveing trouble linking them and finding Homers father and mother. They are from Georgia the last child born in Georgia was Thad, or Thaddeus, Roscoe, Homer and the rest show up on a 1910 travis co tx and a 1920 nuecus co tx census. Ruby had a daughter and son.�Daughter`s name is Carolyn and a music teacher in Bishop and divorced. �Lorrane was deaf and dumb and burned up in a fire. Chalmer lives in a San Antonio mobile home park and died. I stoped there to see if the Homer Johnson that she was married to was my grandmothers brother, What I need to know is if your Ruby Nix's husband was my grandmothers brother, her name is Sophie, cleo is what she went by Johnson and if Homers father was William Johnson and if his mom was Neacie Johnson, if it is, then this Homer Johnson is my great Uncle and Ruby is my great aunt. So what I need to know is, Homer Johnson is he the brother to my grandmother Sophie Cleo Johnson. They are all from the same place, Homer Johnson was born in 1904 in either travis or nueses co tx.
