It is not improbable that Barbe's father is Nicolas BAYOLLE of Dijon, who sailed beside Isaac PESSELIN on the ship "Saint-Jehan" as immigrants to Acadia, leaving La Rochelle, France on 1 Apr 1636.

Rose BAYOLS, daughter of Nicolas BAYOLS of Dijon, France [who is her mother?]. Her father had come to Acadie first in 1636 aboard the "Saint-Jehan," under the command of Nicolas LeCREUX, Lord of Breuil. He returned to France to retrieve his family and returned in 1738 with Rose. Around 1649, when she was around 18, she married at Port Royal to Pierre COMMEAU, then around 50 years of age. They settled near Port-Royal on the Riviere des Dauphins and had nine children, the oldest Etienne born in 1650.

[But this Estienne, the oldest, could not be her son. His wife is her daughter by her first marriage. Must be child of first marriage of Pierre COMMEAUX [COMEAU]?]
