She moved with her family to Ohio in Jr. High and graduated from the Uhrichsville High School 1965 and went on to receive her BS degree in secondary education from Kent State University in 1969. She had a rewarding 30-year career as a high school business education and technology teacher in Massillon, Claymont and New Philadelphia City Schools; and concluded her career at Waynesville High School near Dayton OH, where she was the recipient of the "Teacher of the Year Award" in 1991. In a recent tribute a former student stated "Mrs. Wolfe had a gift that few teachers have; the ability to balance high standards and expectations, firmness and discipline with genuine warmth and caring for her students." After her retirement in 1999, she worked part-time at Whetstone Gardens & Care Center in Columbus as a receptionist and at Palm Coast Data in subscription services following her move to Florida in 2004. She was preceded in death by her father Robert D. Reiners, in 1998. Survivors include her 91 year-old mother...of Palm Coast, FL; her husband...of Palm Coast, FL; her brother...of Devils Lake, ND; her sisters...of Uhrichsville, OH and...of Stow, OH; and numerous other relatives in Ohio, Illinois, California and Maryland. The will be no viewing or visiting hours. As per Roberta's wishes, she donated her organs to the Anatomical Board of the State of Florida and her body to the University of Florida Medical School. In death, as in life, Bert will be a giver (Donor) and an educator (Medical School). When her cremated remains are returned by the Medical School, she will be buried in Evergreen Burial Park, New Philadelphia, OH with a private family service. The family is currently planning a "Celebration of Life" open house in both Florida and Ohio. Family and friends will be notified of the details when they become available.
