Son of Peter and Mary (nee Anderson) Wright. First wife was Anna Longstreth whom he wed on June 1, 1842. Married Henrietta Hoskins Price on February 19, 1846. Father of ten children: William Redwood, Anna Longstreth, Miers Fisher, Sydney, Mary Anderson, Annette Marie, Robert Kemp, Charles Graff, Josephine Bigelow, and Harry Price.

"ROBERT K. WRIGHT DEAD
Robert K. Wright, son of the late Peter Wright and formerly head of the Wright shipping firm, died yesterday at the Germantown Hospital at the age of 86.
Mr. Wright had suffered from an internal disorder for some time and was removed from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Robert S. Newall, in Germantown, to the hospital where the operation was performed. Owing to his advanced age the seriousness of the operation was realized, but it was resorted to only as a possible means to prolong his life. His daughter remained at his bedside to the end."
He was married first to Anna Hallowell Longstreth on June 1, 1842. They had a child who was stillborn on March 21, 1843, and she died on December 13, 1843.
He then married Henrietta Hoskins Price on February 19, 1846.
